Apex Legends Horizon: Class, Kit and Playstyle
2 min read
A gravity specialist who moves squads, not just herself. Here is what her class and abilities do, and the fights she is built to win.
Apex Legends Horizon joined the roster after launch as part of Respawn's ongoing additions to the game, and her identity has stayed consistent since: gravity is her entire kit.
Class
Horizon is a Skirmisher, the class built around aggressive movement and repositioning rather than defence or information.
What the kit does
- Tactical — a gravity lift that launches anyone who steps into it upward, usable by teammates and enemies alike, not just her.
- Ultimate — a gravity well that pulls nearby players and thrown items toward its centre, disrupting positioning across a wide area.
The shared part matters: her lift is not a personal escape button, it is a piece of terrain anyone in the fight can use. Coordinate around it and it moves your whole squad; leave it unguarded and the enemy team rides it instead.
Where she is strong
Getting a squad onto a high building fast, or breaking up a team that has grouped tightly around a fight. Her value comes from movement, not raw damage.
Kits are not fixed
Bloodhound's full rework in Season 30: Marked (August 2026) is a recent example of how far a kit can change. Treat any written breakdown, this one included, as a starting point and confirm specifics against the in-game tooltip.
