Overwatch 2 Codes: How Redeeming Them Actually Works

Most Overwatch 2 codes come from Twitch Drops or Prime Gaming rather than giveaways — here's where they're actually spent.

Overwatch 2 codes almost always come from one of two places: Twitch Drops tied to watching official broadcasts, or Prime Gaming's monthly loot for Prime subscribers. Standalone promotional codes are rarer and worth double-checking.

Where to redeem one

Codes go into Battle.net, not the game client itself:

  1. Log into your Battle.net account on the website.
  2. Open Account Settings.
  3. Find Redeem a Code (or Connections for Twitch/Prime links).
  4. Enter the code, or link the account instead — Drops and Prime loot usually deliver automatically without a manual code at all.

Why a code fails

  • It's already been claimed on that account.
  • It expired — event and Drops codes usually run for a fixed window.
  • It's not linked to Overwatch 2 at all; some codes are for other Blizzard titles.

Staying safe

Only trust codes from Blizzard's own channels, official Twitch Drops campaigns or Prime Gaming. Free-skin codes sold on third-party sites are a scam pattern.
