Palworld Effigies: Every Type and What It Boosts
2 min read
Effigies are permanent character upgrades, not collectibles. Here is what each type does, how the ranks are priced, and which ones are worth going out of your way for.
Palworld effigies are permanent upgrades to you, not to your Pals. You hand them in at any Statue of Power and they buy ranks in a buff that never expires and never resets. Since 1.0 there is a separate effigy type per buff, which is why an old guide telling you to grab "the effigies" is now out of date.
The one that matters most
Lifmunk effigies feed Capture Power — the value that decides whether a sphere sticks. It runs 15 ranks and costs 100 effigies in total: ranks 1 to 7 cost 1 through 7 each, then every rank after that costs 9. Worth knowing before you celebrate: the statue displays double the real number, so a shown +15 is actually +7.5 Capture Power.
The common types
Lamball, Pengullet, Munchill, Rooby, Herbil, Tanzee, Depresso and Cattiva effigies each feed a quality-of-life stat — satiety, swim speed, food spoilage, jump height, glide speed, climb speed, status resistance and mount stamina.
The rare ones
Only a handful of each exists in the whole game:
- Lunaris — sphere homing.
- Relaxaurus — EXP gain.
- Yakumo — Rainbow Fortune, up to +4%, raising the odds that wild Pals spawn with better passives.
Those three are the ones to detour for. Everything else you will pick up in passing.
