A dense, vertical battle royale map set in the urban district of Suotamo, launched with exclusive rotation time to make sure everyone played it.

Apex Legends E-District arrived as the newest full battle royale map in Season 22: Shockwave, on 6 August 2024 — the first new map addition since Storm Point.

What it is

E-District sits in the urban district of Suotamo, on the planet Gaea. It's built around 17 points of interest packed into a dense, vertical layout, with far more close-quarters angles than the open ground Storm Point or World's Edge offer.

How it launched

Respawn gave it exclusive rotation time to make sure everyone actually played it: the only map in Pubs for its first week, and the only map in Ranked for the first 72 hours. After that it settled into the standard rotation alongside Broken Moon and Storm Point.

Why you might know it from elsewhere

E-District's dense, neon-friendly city layout has made it a repeat venue for collab takeovers — it got a full Night City makeover, complete with holographic koi and glitched signage, during the Cyberpunk crossover event that ran from 14 July to 4 August 2026.

Playing it

The verticality rewards squads with mobility Legends who can break rotations through buildings rather than around them — expect more close-range fights than a typical World's Edge drop.
