Is Baldur's Gate 3 on GOG?

Larian's earlier RPGs sold DRM-free on GOG. This one, so far, has not — here is where it actually is on PC.

Checking Baldurs Gate 3 GOG availability turns up nothing, because as things stand it is not sold there — GOG's own search returns no match for the game.

Where it actually is on PC

Steam is the platform it launched on and the one it has stayed on since August 2023. There is no publisher storefront and no standalone Rockstar-style launcher — Steam is the route.

Why that is worth noting

Larian's earlier RPGs went a different way: Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin 2 are both sold DRM-free on GOG alongside their Steam listings. Baldurs Gate 3 breaking that pattern is the reason the question keeps coming up — players who bought the earlier games there naturally expected the same option here.

Could that change?

Nothing has been announced either way. GOG availability for a major title can shift without much notice, so if a DRM-free release matters to you, checking GOG's own listing directly is more reliable than trusting an article's snapshot of the situation — including this one.

What this doesn't affect

Console versions (PS5, Xbox Series X|S) and the Mac release are unrelated to this — GOG only ever sells PC games, so the question is specifically about the Steam alternative that hasn't materialised.
