Is Call of Duty Warzone Cross Platform?
1 min read
Yes, and it has been since launch. PC, PlayStation and Xbox players share the same lobbies by default, with a toggle if you would rather they did not.
Call of Duty Warzone cross platform play has been standard since the game's 2020 launch, and it works across every supported platform at once.
How it works
PC, PlayStation and Xbox players are pooled into the same lobbies by default. Party up with a friend on a different platform and matchmaking finds a lobby that fits everyone, no separate settings needed on their end.
Turning it off
Crossplay can be disabled from Settings > Account > Crossplay. Doing so restricts you to players on your own platform, which usually means longer queue times — the trade-off most players accept for a larger, faster-filling pool.
Why some players turn it off anyway
The usual reason is aim assist: PC players facing controller users on crossplay lobbies is a long-running balance debate, and turning crossplay off is the blunt fix some PC players reach for, at the cost of matchmaking speed.
Cross-progression
Separately from crossplay, your unlocks, Battle Pass and stats follow your Activision ID across platforms too, so switching consoles does not reset anything.
