GTA 5 Invincibility Cheat Code: Every Platform

The code itself is the same idea everywhere — five minutes of god mode — but how you enter it depends entirely on what you are playing on.

The GTA 5 invincibility cheat code is not one single input — it changes depending on what you are playing it on.

PC

Press the console key (~ on a US keyboard, ¬ on a UK one) during gameplay, type PAINKILLER, and press Enter. No pause menu, no phone.

PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series

Enter this sequence with the controller during free-roam:

Right, Cross/A, Right, Left, Right, R1/RB, Right, Left, Cross/A, Triangle/Y

Any console, via phone

If the button order is awkward mid-fight, pull up your in-game phone and dial 1-999-724-654-5537 instead — same effect, easier to enter under pressure.

What it actually does

Five minutes of protection from bullets, explosions and falls. It does not stop you drowning, and it does not clear an active wanted level on its own.

One catch

Using any cheat disables Rockstar trophies and achievements for that session, so do not use it while chasing one.
