The Marvel Rivals hero release order follows a rhythm that has held almost unbroken since launch: one hero when a season starts, one more at the mid-season X.5 update roughly halfway through.
The launch roster
Marvel Rivals launched on 6 December 2024 with Season 0: Doom's Rise and a roster NetEase announced as 33 heroes, all unlocked and free. Some later round-ups count 32 — the difference is whether a hero added days after launch is folded into the launch list.
