A single Red Dead Redemption 2 badger location does not exist, and that is worth knowing before you waste an evening chasing a map pin that was never real.

Why there is no fixed spot

Legendary animals each have one dedicated map marker. Ordinary wildlife, badgers included, does not work that way — the game seeds regular animals into population zones tied to terrain type, and individual spawns shift within that zone rather than sitting at a coordinate you can screenshot and reuse.

How to actually find one

Use Eagle Eye to highlight nearby animal trails and tracks.
Study fresh tracks with the tracking prompt — the game will tell you which species left them.
Ride slowly through wooded, hilly terrain rather than open plains; burrowing animals favour cover over open ground.
Check the compendium entry for badgers once you have found your first one — it records the region it appeared in, which narrows your next search.

Getting a clean pelt

Badgers are a Moderate size animal. Use a Varmint Rifle and aim for a one-shot kill on the head or vitals — the correct weapon for its size class is what actually determines a perfect pelt, not the location you found it in.

Treat any specific "here" pin you find online with scepticism. Track the animal type, not a coordinate.
