A three-act quest that starts as a missing-expedition mystery and ends with a choice about a woman who isn't what the name suggests.

Baldurs Gate 3 Find the Nightsong runs across all three acts, and the quest's biggest surprise is what the "Nightsong" actually turns out to be.

How it starts

Talk to Aradin Beno about his expedition, or find the remains of his failed party — Liam and Brian's belongings carry the first clues about an artefact called the Nightsong.

Act One

The trail runs through the Druid Grove, the Goblin Camp and the Defiled Temple, where a moon-tile puzzle blocks the way down to the Underdark.

Act Two

Continue through the Underdark, the Selûnite Outpost and the Gauntlet of Shar into the Shadowfell — and here the "artefact" is revealed to be a living woman caged there: Dame Aylin.

Act Three

The quest resolves at Sorcerous Sundries and Ramazith's Tower, where the wizard Lorroakan — who has been hunting Aylin the whole time — has to be dealt with. A portal puzzle here asks you to pick the portal tied to immortal divine beings.

The choice

  • Lie to Lorroakan to protect her.
  • Confront him directly alongside Aylin.
  • Side with Lorroakan and hand her over — pays 5,000 gold.
  • Side with Aylin against him — gains allies for the final battle.

Whether Rolan sides with you later depends on whether you rescued his siblings back in Act Two, so this is not the only choice from this thread that carries forward.
