Elden Ring Nightreign: How to Unlock Revenant

Revenant is not available from the start. Unlocking it runs through Duchess first, then a hidden fight in Limveld.

Elden Ring Nightreign how to unlock Revenant comes down to four steps, and the first one is a different character entirely.

Step 1: unlock Duchess

Show the Old Pocketwatch to the Hooded Figure. Duchess and Revenant are the only two locked characters, and getting Duchess leads straight into unlocking Revenant.

Step 2: buy the Besmirched Frame

Once Duchess is unlocked, the Small Jar Bazaar at Roundtable Hold sells a Besmirched Frame for 1,500 Murk. It is not available before that.

Step 3: follow the marker

A yellow exclamation mark appears on the Roundtable Hold map. Head northeast to find a ghost girl in the corner and select "Touch Phantom?".

Step 4: fight the Night Idol

You are dropped into Limveld. Find Revenant's structure in the lower left and clear the Page, Robed Skeleton and Giant Skeleton in that order before engaging the Night Idol — going for the boss first risks getting overwhelmed. Win, and Revenant is unlocked for good.
