Hogwarts Legacy Arthur's Treasure Map: All Three Landmarks
2 min read
Three sketched landmarks inside the castle, and a painting with no interact prompt on it. Here is the route in order and the spell that opens the last one.
Arthur Plummly gives you Hogwarts Legacy Arthur's Treasure Map outside the Charms Classroom in the Astronomy Wing, and it opens the side quest Cache in the Castle. He will not discuss it until you have finished Welcome to Hogsmeade, so if he only offers small talk, that quest is what you are missing.
The three landmarks, in order
- The rhinoceros skeleton — down the stairs from the Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom Floo Flame.
- The fountain — the one in the middle of the Transfiguration Courtyard.
- The painting — from the courtyard take the north-west door into the North Hall and go up the staircase. The sketch matches a painting of a snow-covered house partway up.
The part everyone gets stuck on
The painting has no interact prompt, which is why people stand in front of it reloading saves. Cast Accio at it. The frame swings aside and reveals the alcove with the chest inside.
What you get
The chest holds the Authentic Historian's Uniform, a cosmetic robe set. That is the whole reward — no spell, no talent point — so treat this as a collection quest rather than a power spike.
Worth knowing
All three landmarks are inside Hogwarts itself, so you can do the entire hunt between lessons without ever leaving the castle. Use Revelio at each stop if you are unsure you are looking at the right statue.
