Hogwarts Legacy Endings: All Three Explained

One choice at the Final Repository splits the story two ways, and a third ending sits past both of them regardless of what you picked.

Hogwarts Legacy endings come down to three outcomes, and only one of the decisions that shapes them happens where you would expect.

The Final Repository choice

Near the end of the main story, the Final Repository quest puts a single line of dialogue in front of you:

  • "I intend to keep it contained here" — the Normal Ending.
  • "I intend to open it" — the Evil Ending.

Whichever you pick plays out in the closing cutscene and colours how the story is framed, but neither one locks you out of anything afterward.

The True Ending is separate

Reaching level 34 unlocks a further quest, The House Cup, which delivers a final cutscene on top of whichever Repository choice you made. Either choice does not affect any post-story gameplay or quests, including the True Ending, so Normal and Evil are alternate flavours on the way to the same finish rather than fully separate branches.

The Sebastian and Ominis variation

A separate post-story cutscene changes depending on choices made across Sebastian's questline, showing either Sebastian or Ominis. It is smaller than the Repository choice, but it is the other place your decisions visibly show at the end.
