Marvel Rivals Android: There Is No Mobile Version
2 min read
The game director said there are not even discussions happening — and the workarounds people suggest are not what they look like.
Marvel Rivals android is not a thing. There is no official mobile version, no announced release date and, according to NetEase itself, no plan in motion.
What the developers have said
Game director Thaddeus Sasser told Pocket Tactics that "there are no discussions" happening about a mobile version. That is stronger than the usual "we have nothing to announce" — it is a statement that the project does not exist.
Where it actually runs
- PC — Steam and the Epic Games Store
- PlayStation 5, and PlayStation 4 since September 2025
- Xbox Series X|S
Note that PS4 arrived nearly a year after launch, which shows NetEase is willing to widen the platform list. It has just not widened it toward phones.
Could it happen eventually?
It is not implausible. NetEase is one of the largest mobile developers in the world, and a Marvel hero shooter is an obvious fit for the market it dominates. But plausible is not announced, and a competitive third-person shooter built for mouse and controller does not port to touch controls without being substantially redesigned.
The workarounds, honestly
Cloud streaming is the only route that actually works. If you own the game on a platform with a streaming option, or use a service that hosts it, you can play on an Android device with a controller attached — but you are streaming a PC or console session, not running the game on the phone, and your experience is at the mercy of your connection.
Emulators do not work. There is no Android build to emulate. Anything claiming otherwise is not running Marvel Rivals.
