Rocket League Elo Ranks: The Full Tier List

1 min read

The game does not use the word Elo internally, but the rank ladder it maps to is what most players mean by it. Every tier, Bronze to Supersonic Legend.

Rocket League Elo ranks is how most players describe the competitive tier ladder, even though the game's own rating system is not technically an Elo model. The ranks themselves are the part everyone actually means.

The tier list

From lowest to highest:

  • Bronze
  • Silver
  • Gold
  • Platinum
  • Diamond
  • Champion
  • Grand Champion
  • Supersonic Legend

Divisions within a tier

Every tier except the top one splits into divisions, so climbing is gradual rather than one big jump between named ranks. Division changes are a more accurate week-to-week signal than tier changes.

Ranks are per playlist

There is no single account-wide rank. 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3 each carry a separate rank — a player's 1v1 rank in particular tends to run lower, since solo play punishes weaker mechanics more directly.

Season resets

Ranks soft-reset each competitive season: you play placement matches and land somewhere related to, but not identical to, your rank before the reset.

Where the rating actually lives

The visible rank is a simplified label sitting on a hidden underlying number, which decides matchmaking directly.
