Apex Legends: All Legends and the Class System
1 min read
Twenty-eight playable characters as of Season 30, sorted into five classes. Here is the full roster, what the class attached to each one actually does, and what a new Legend costs to unlock.
Apex Legends all legends totals sit at 28 playable characters as of Season 30. Respawn adds one or two a year, so treat any roster list as a snapshot — the class structure underneath it is the part that stays put.
The five classes
Every Legend belongs to one class, and the class hands the whole squad a shared perk on top of that character's own kit:
- Assault — Bangalore, Fuse, Ash, Mad Maggie, Ballistic
- Skirmisher — Pathfinder, Wraith, Octane, Revenant, Horizon, Alter, Axle
- Recon — Bloodhound, Crypto, Valkyrie, Seer, Vantage, Sparrow
- Controller — Caustic, Wattson, Rampart, Catalyst
- Support — Gibraltar, Lifeline, Mirage, Loba, Newcastle, Conduit
Learn the class before the character. It decides which bins you can open, what your team can scan, and how quickly you rotate.
The newest arrivals
Axle joined with Season 29: Overclocked on 5 May 2026 — a Skirmisher built around slide control, a speed gate anyone can ride, and a seeking displacement drone. Sparrow, a Recon, landed the season before her.
Unlocking them
A starter set is free. The rest have long cost 12,000 Legend Tokens, earned only by levelling, or 750 Apex Coins.
