Apex Legends Final Fantasy: No Crossover Exists
2 min read
There is no confirmed collaboration, announcement or leak tying the two together. Here is what Respawn has actually crossed over with instead.
Apex Legends Final Fantasy searches are chasing something that doesn't exist. There's no confirmed crossover, announcement or leak tying Square Enix's series to Apex, and nothing in Respawn's collaboration history points toward one being close.
What Respawn has actually done instead
Apex's collaboration slate has leaned toward other games and franchises entirely:
- Cyberpunk 2077, with Legend skins built around Night City characters and a full E-District takeover, running 14 July to 4 August 2026.
- Gundam, with eight Legends rebuilt as Mobile Suits and a Broken Moon takeover, from 10 March to 14 April 2026.
Both point at the kind of partner Respawn actually picks: franchises with a strong visual identity that skins translate into easily, rather than a turn-based RPG series like Final Fantasy that shares little visual or mechanical ground with a battle royale shooter.
Why the search keeps coming up
It's more likely community wishlisting than anything official — speculation threads pop up around every major collaboration, and Final Fantasy gets named as a "dream" pick often enough that search engines pick up the pattern without real news behind it.
The honest answer
If a Final Fantasy collaboration ever happens, it'll be announced through EA's own channels first — not leaked through a wishlist thread months in advance.
