Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified Zombies: It Does Not Have Any

If you are looking for Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified zombies, the short answer is that there are none. The 2012 PS Vita game is the first Black Ops title to ship without a Zombies mode, and Activision confirmed its absence before release rather than letting people find out afterwards.

What it has instead

Declassified includes a mode called Hostiles, which is structurally similar — you hold ground against successive waves of enemies — except the enemies are living soldiers rather than the undead. The mode runs across a set of waves per map, and it is the closest thing in the game to the survival loop Zombies players expect.

Why Zombies was left out

Activision's reasoning at the time was that this was the first Call of Duty on Vita, and the priority was delivering the series' core strength on the hardware: competitive multiplayer with twin-stick controls in a portable form. Zombies was treated as content that could follow rather than launch alongside.

It never followed. The game's reception was poor enough — it is one of the lowest-rated entries in the entire franchise — that no substantial post-launch content arrived.

Where to get portable Black Ops Zombies

Two options actually exist:

• Call of Duty: Black Ops Zombies, the Ideaworks mobile game, which was Zombies-only. It was delisted in December 2021 and its online functionality shut down in May 2022, so it is effectively gone.
• Call of Duty Mobile, which has run Zombies content on and off and carries a large amount of Black Ops multiplayer material permanently.

Neither is on Vita. If Zombies is what you want from the handheld era, Declassified is not the game.
