Call of Duty Warzone for PC: Setup Guide
1 min read
Free on Steam and Battle.net, playable with mouse and keyboard or a controller, and cross-play with every console by default. Here is how to get set up.
Call of Duty Warzone for PC is a free install through either Steam or Battle.net, both of which run on the same Call of Duty HQ backend.
Getting it installed
Pick either storefront — there's no meaningful difference beyond which launcher wraps around the game — and expect an install size well over 100GB, growing further as the season progresses. An SSD is required; HDD installs are no longer supported.
Minimum spec to bear in mind
A GTX 1060 or RX 580 with 8GB VRAM, a Core i5-6600K-class CPU and 12GB of RAM will get you running, though a mid-range card like an RTX 3060 is a more realistic target for stable 1080p60.
Anti-cheat requirements
TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot must be enabled in your BIOS for Ricochet anti-cheat to let the game launch at all — worth checking before you assume a hardware problem.
Input and crossplay
Mouse and keyboard or a controller both work natively, and crossplay with PlayStation and Xbox is on by default, with an off switch in Account settings if you would rather stay PC-only.
