Overwatch 2 Forums: Where to Post to Get Answers

Eight categories, and picking the wrong one is why most posts go nowhere. What each board is for and what a bug report needs to be acted on.

The official Overwatch 2 forums are still Blizzard's own channel, and they are split into categories that decide whether anyone capable of fixing your problem ever sees the post.

The categories that matter

  • Announcements — patch notes and developer messages land here first.
  • Bug Report — gameplay issues. Blizzard keeps a pinned Known Issues thread; read it before you write anything.
  • Technical Support — installing, launching and connection problems. This is the board for crashes and rendering device lost errors.
  • General Discussion — everything else, and by far the loudest room.
  • Competitive Discussion, Story Discussion, Workshop Discussion and Looking for Group cover the rest.

Writing a report that gets acted on

A description on its own is close to useless. Include the hero, the map, the game mode, whether it reproduces reliably, and your platform. For technical issues, attach a DxDiag — support will ask for one anyway.

The regional split

The forums are per-region: US, EU and others each run their own, and threads do not cross over. Post in the one matching your account or you are talking to the wrong staff.
