Overwatch 2 Illari Guide: Kit and Playstyle

Illari plays Support around a single weapon that both heals and damages — and rewards real aim more than most healers do.
Overwatch 2 Illari plays Support around a single weapon that does both jobs at once — the same rifle heals allies or damages enemies depending on where you aim it.
Core kit
- Solar Rifle — her primary weapon, healing allies or damaging enemies from the same gun without switching modes.
- Outburst — a jump that also knocks back anyone caught in it, used both to reposition and to peel an attacker off a teammate.
- Healing Pylon — a deployable device that heals anyone nearby on its own, freeing Illari to keep firing rather than babysitting a single target.
- Captive Sun — her ultimate, a long-range beam that builds toward an explosive burst the longer it channels.
Playstyle
She rewards good aim more than most supports — landing Solar Rifle shots on a moving target takes real precision, closer to a Damage hero's skill floor than a typical healer's. Healing Pylon covers the gaps while she's busy tracking a target or repositioning with Outburst.
Where she fits
Strong on maps with sightlines, where Solar Rifle's range and Captive Sun's channel time both have room to work. Cramped, corner-heavy maps suit her less.
