Cyberpunk 2077: Evelyn or Dex Explained
1 min read
A single line in a booth at Afterlife, and it changes your cut of the heist by five thousand eddies either way.
The Cyberpunk 2077 Evelyn or Dex choice sits inside The Heist, during the job briefing in a private booth at Afterlife, before you ever set foot in Konpeki Plaza.
The setup
Dex asks how your meeting with Evelyn Parker went. Evelyn has already told you her real plan is to cut Dex out of the job entirely. You decide whether to tell him.
The two options
- Tell Dex the truth. He raises your cut of the job to 40% on the spot, as thanks for the warning.
- Keep it to yourself. You can still try to negotiate a better cut later, but Dex will not go above 35% no matter how the conversation goes.
What it does not change
The choice affects money, not the story's trajectory — Dex's betrayal at the end of the heist happens regardless of what you told him here. It is a payout decision dressed up as a loyalty test, not a branch in the plot.
The practical take
If eddies matter more to you than protecting Evelyn's plan, telling Dex is the straightforwardly better option.
