A kidnapping job from Mr. Hands that turns out to be nothing of the sort — and pays out a unique two-handed club.

Cyberpunk 2077 Dazed and Confused is a Phantom Liberty side job from Mr. Hands, Dogtown's fixer, and it is one of the expansion's better small stories.

Unlocking it

You need to have finished The Damned, the fifth main mission of Phantom Liberty. Mr. Hands offers the job after that.

The setup

Lina Malina, a well-known braindance star, has apparently been kidnapped. You are asked to get her back. The framing does not survive contact with the evidence.

Walkthrough

  1. Head to the marker — a shopping complex, top floor.
  2. In the Brainporium, check the laptop behind the counter. It gives you background on Lina and points at what is happening downstairs.
  3. Go down and you run into Shank and his friend Tool. Talk to Shank about Tool's situation.
  4. Shank gives you Lina's address. Follow it to her house, and the actual story comes out there.

Rewards

Around $8,000, a decent chunk of XP, and the Baby Boomer — a unique two-handed club. If you are running a blunt-weapon build, that is the reason to do this job rather than the story.

Worth knowing

The job rewards reading rather than shooting. The laptop and the conversations are where the twist lives, and skipping straight to the address means missing the point of the whole thing.
