Elden Ring Jarburg: Where It Is and What Happens There

Elden Ring Jarburg is a hidden village of living jars, tucked into a cliffside in Liurnia of the Lakes, south of the Carian Study Hall. There is no road down. You reach it by dropping from platform to platform starting near the Artist's Shack. It is home to the Jar Bairn, a nephew of Alexander the Iron Fist, and later becomes part of Diallos's story.

How to get to Jarburg

1. Rest at the Artist's Shack Site of Grace in Liurnia.
2. Travel south-east to the edge of the cliff south of the Carian Study Hall.
3. Look down to the east. You will see a series of platforms below the edge.
4. Drop down from one platform to the next until you reach the bottom.
5. The Jarburg Site of Grace is just to the right of where you land, near the biggest wooden building.

Every drop is survivable if you land on the next platform. Walk off the edge slowly rather than jumping, and check the ground below before each step.

Who lives there

The Jar Bairn

The Jar Bairn sits on top of some stairs in the village. He is a small living jar and a relative of Alexander the Iron Fist, the warrior jar you meet across the Lands Between. Alexander calls him his nephew.

If you have followed Alexander's questline to its end, you can give the Jar Bairn Alexander's Innards, which continues Alexander's story through him.

Diallos

Diallos, the Hoslow knight you first meet in the Roundtable Hold, can turn up in Jarburg later. He leaves Volcano Manor and settles here to look after the jars.

What happens in Jarburg

Once you have exhausted the dialogue of both the Jar Bairn and Diallos, the village is attacked. How the attack plays out is the last chapter of Diallos's story, and finishing his questline leaves some of his equipment in the village.

Items in Jarburg

In the village:

• Cracked Pots (3) and Ritual Pots (2), which you need to craft throwing pots.
• Smithing Stones (3).
• Golden Runes and crafting materials.

After Diallos's questline:

• Hoslow's Petal Whip
• Diallos's Mask
• Companion Jar, a talisman that boosts the damage of throwing pots.

The Cracked and Ritual Pots alone make the trip worthwhile for anyone using a pot build.

Why Jarburg matters

• Pot builds. The pots here raise how many throwing pots you can carry.
• Two questlines end or continue here, Alexander's and Diallos's.
• A quiet moment. It is one of the few peaceful places in the Lands Between, until it is not.
