Is Elden Ring Nightreign Cross Platform?

Nightreign lets PC, PlayStation and Xbox players squad up together — a departure from how the base game handled multiplayer.

Elden Ring Nightreign cross platform play means PC, PlayStation and Xbox players can be matched into the same three-person squad, rather than each platform being sealed into its own player pool.

Why this is a change

The base Elden Ring never supported crossplay — a PC player and a PS5 player could never see each other's summon signs. Nightreign's squad-based structure made that limitation harder to justify, since finding two other players fast matters more in a run-based game than it did in the open world.

What it does not guarantee

Cross-platform play is not the same as cross-progression. Your unlocks, relics and account progress live with the platform and storefront you played on, so switching from console to PC does not automatically bring your Nightfarer unlocks with you — check your specific platform pairing before assuming otherwise.

Turning it on

Crossplay is controlled through an in-game or platform-level multiplayer setting rather than something you request access to. If you are not seeing cross-platform squadmates, check that setting first before assuming the feature is not available on your version.
