Elden Ring Nightreign Executor: Skills, Build and Tips

The Sekiro character. Deflect and he is the strongest thing in the run; miss the timing and he is the squishiest.

The Elden Ring Nightreign Executor is the Nightfarer built around deflection — the closest thing the game has to a Sekiro character, and the one with the sharpest skill floor.

Cursed Sword

His character skill draws a cursed sword you can deflect with. Block in the window right before a hit lands and the damage is negated completely. Deflecting also pushes stance damage onto the enemy and empowers the blade — it glows gold as it charges. You can swing it like a normal sword the rest of the time.

Tenacity

His passive fires after you recover from a status ailment — blood loss, madness, poison, scarlet rot, frostbite — granting a burst of attack power and faster stamina recovery. Note the wording: recovering from the ailment is what triggers it, not suffering it.

That has an obvious exploit. A relic carrying Seppuku inflicts a status on yourself on demand, which means you can trigger Tenacity deliberately at the start of a fight and stack it several times over rather than waiting for an enemy to do it for you.

Weapons

He has the highest Dexterity in the roster and strong Arcane, so katanas are the natural fit and bleed is where his damage really sits. Nagakiba and Rivers of Blood are the picks people build toward.

Where he struggles

Crowds. Deflection is a one-attack-at-a-time answer, and several enemies swinging at once is exactly what it cannot solve. His ultimate helps, but the honest assessment is that Executor rewards players who already like parry timing and punishes everyone else.
