GTA 5 Jimmy is Jimmy De Santa, the son of Michael and Amanda, and the character players complain about more than any other in the game.
Who voices him
Danny Tamberelli — a former child actor best known for The Adventures of Pete & Pete, The Mighty Ducks and The Magic School Bus. Like the rest of the cast he performed the role rather than only voicing it.
Who he is in the story
Jimmy is twenty, unemployed, permanently online and openly contemptuous of his father. He sells Michael's boat behind his back, gets him kidnapped, drugs him, and spends most of the game demanding money.
Why he is written that way
The De Santa family is the game's argument about what Michael's deal with the FIB bought him. Michael got the house, the pool and the retirement, and the story keeps showing that the family inside them is broken. Jimmy is the loudest evidence of it — he is unbearable because Michael was absent, which is the point.
The optional father-and-son missions are where that lands. Play them and the character reads differently; skip them and he stays a punchline.
Can you kill him?
No. Jimmy is a story NPC and cannot be permanently removed. Attempts to kill him fail the mission or reset the scene — which, given how many people search for this, is clearly a widely shared impulse.
