GTA Online games free to actually play — no GTA$ stake, no business investment — are easy to miss because most of the game is built around spending money.

At the arcade

Every cabinet in an owned arcade is playable for free, including Kart Attack, a full kart-racing minigame hidden inside the cabinet screen. You need to own the arcade first, but playing the machines costs nothing further after that.

At the casino

The Lucky Wheel spin at the Diamond Casino is free once per real-world day and can pay out cash, RP, clothing or a vehicle. Roulette, blackjack and the slots aren't free, but chips are cheap and the Inside Track betting terminal takes a minimum stake most players can absorb.

Around freemode

Contact missions, most races, and deathmatches cost nothing to enter and often pay out more than they take to start. If "free" means "doesn't cost anything to try," this is the largest bucket of content in the game.
