Cyberpunk 2077 Erebus: The One-Chance Iconic Weapon
2 min read
Locked behind one ending path, one quest and one blueprint. Miss it and the only route back is a new save.
Cyberpunk 2077 Erebus is the most missable weapon in the game, and the reason is that three separate things all have to go right.
The path
Erebus only exists in the Somewhat Damaged quest. To reach that quest you have to side with Reed in Firestarter and go after Songbird. Choose the other side and the quest never happens.
Finding the blueprint
Inside Somewhat Damaged, you spend a stretch of the level hacking the Alpha, Bravo, Sierra and Victor terminals. In that lower area is the mess hall, and off the mess hall is a locked maintenance room. That room holds the blueprint.
Two ways in:
- Reroute power from the storage room nearby — requires 15 Technical Ability.
- Use the Remote Deactivation quickhack on the door.
If you have neither, you cannot open it, and there is no later opportunity.
Crafting it
The blueprint alone is not the weapon. You also need the Cerberus Decoded Behavioural System component, which comes from the Cerberus robot that hunts you through the level. That means finishing the quest before you can craft anything.
Why the pressure
This is a single-visit location inside a single ending path. Leave without the blueprint or the component and the save is done — the usual advice is to save manually before entering, because reloading is the only fix.
