Anyone after a Cyberpunk 2077 desktop wallpaper has three genuinely different sources, and they are not interchangeable in quality or resolution.

Official art

CD Projekt bundled a set of official wallpapers as digital bonus content with the Digital Deluxe edition, drawn from the same key art used in marketing. These are the highest-resolution, most reliably clean option if you can track a copy down.

Fan wallpaper sites

Sites like Wallpaper Engine's workshop and general wallpaper galleries host a huge volume of fan-edited and fan-composited art. Quality varies enormously — check the resolution listed before downloading, since a lot of it is upscaled rather than native.

Building your own

The game's built-in Photo Mode is the most reliable source of all, because you control the composition entirely. Night City's lighting changes dramatically between day, dusk and rain, so the same rooftop can produce a completely different wallpaper depending on when you take the shot.

Practical advice

For anything above 1440p, native photo-mode captures usually beat downloaded fan art on sharpness.
