Cyberpunk 2077 Flashlight: There Isn't One

No torch, no night vision, no toggle buried in the menus. Here is what people use instead when a room is too dark to fight in.

There is no Cyberpunk 2077 flashlight. No torch item, no cyberware for it, no keybind hiding in the options. Night vision is not in the game either, despite how much cyberware goes in your eyes.

What people use instead

Weapon scopes with night vision. Some scopes include a night-vision mode. This is the closest thing to a real answer — it only works while aiming down sights, but it works.

Hackable floodlights. Scan a dark area and you will often find lights you can take control of. Turning the room's own lighting on is frequently possible and almost nobody thinks to try it.

Gamma and brightness. The blunt fix. Raising gamma lifts the dark end of the image across the whole game, at the cost of how the lighting was meant to look.

Vehicle headlights. Outdoors, driving into a dark area lights it far better than anything you can carry.

On PC: mods

A Simple Flashlight mod exists and does what the name says — a toggleable light on a keypress. Like all Cyberpunk mods it depends on the script frameworks and can break after a patch.

Why it is missing

Night City is lit by neon almost everywhere, and the genuinely dark spaces are interiors designed around their own light sources. The game assumes you will hack the room rather than carry a torch into it — which is consistent, if not always convenient.
