Hogwarts Legacy Fluxweed: Seeds, Growing and Uses
2 min read
A large pot, fifteen real-world minutes and five stems per harvest — the ingredient that punishes you for not planning ahead.
Hogwarts Legacy Fluxweed is one of the ingredients you will run short of exactly when you need it, because it cannot be foraged in any quantity — it has to be grown.
What it is for
Fluxweed Stem is a potion ingredient, and its main use is the Focus Potion — the one that shortens spell cooldowns, which makes it one of the more valuable combat consumables in the game. That is why demand outpaces what you find lying around.
Buying the seeds
Fluxweed Seeds are sold at The Magic Neep in Hogsmeade, on the north-west side of the village across the small stone bridge over the stream. Stock replenishes, so buying several packets at once is worth doing.
Growing it
Fluxweed needs the Room of Requirement, which the main story unlocks:
- Use Conjuration and open the Herbology menu.
- Place a large potting table — Fluxweed will not grow in a small or medium pot, which is the single most common mistake.
- Interact with the table and plant Fluxweed Seeds.
- Wait roughly 15 minutes of real time.
Each harvest yields 5 Fluxweed Stems. With several large pots running at once you can keep a steady supply going in the background while you play.
Practical advice
Set the pots going before you head out on a long quest rather than standing in the Room of Requirement waiting. The timer runs on real time, not in-game time, so sleeping at a Floo Flame does not speed it up. Two or three large pots dedicated to Fluxweed will comfortably outpace how fast you can drink Focus Potions.
