Hogwarts Legacy Collectibles: Every Type and Total
2 min read
Six hundred and three collections across a dozen categories — and one of them you do not need to finish.
Hogwarts Legacy collectibles are tracked in the Field Guide under Collections, and the headline number is 603. That figure hides a dozen separate categories with very different amounts of work behind them.
The totals
| Category | Total |
|---|---|
| Field Guide Pages | 236 |
| Collection Chests | 168 |
| Merlin Trials | 95 |
| Floo Flames | 83 |
| Demiguise Statues | 33 |
| Balloon Sets | 32 |
| Landing Platforms | 20 |
| Ancient Magic Hotspots | 20 |
| Astronomy Tables | 15 |
| Butterflies | 15 |
| Infamous Foes | 18 |
| Cairn Dungeons | 5 |
| Hogwarts Secrets | 3 |
| Battle Arenas | 2 |
The one you can skip
Field Guide Pages are the big number, but the challenge that rewards them only asks for 180 of the 236. If you are chasing challenge completion rather than a full Collections tab, that saves you fifty-six pages of hunting.
The ones tied to a spell
Several categories are gated on abilities you unlock through the story, so early sweeps of a region will always leave things behind:
- Demiguise Statues need Alohomora, and the higher lock tiers come later.
- Merlin Trials need Mallowsweet leaves and the Trials of Merlin quest.
- Some Field Guide Pages need Revelio, Accio or Depulso to reach.
The practical order
Finish the main story first. Almost every gating spell, the broom, and the map upgrades that show collectible markers arrive during it, and sweeping a region once with everything unlocked is far quicker than sweeping it three times. The map filter for each collectible type is the tool that turns this from a grind into a checklist.
